Madeleine R. Young of Delray Beach, Florida died on June 4,2017.
She was predeceased by her parents, George G. Raymond,Sr. and Madeleine
C. Raymond; her brother, George G. Raymond, Jr.; her first husband, Carl F. Kellogg; her second husband, Harry H. Young, and step-son Charles Young. Born in Brooklyn, NY she moved to Greene in 1922, graduated from Greene Central School and then worked in her father's business until she married and began to raise her family. She lived in Greene and summered at Genegantslet Lake until 1966 before moving to Binghamton and then to Florida. She and Harry spent many years traveling throughout the United States in their RV as members of the Foretravel RV Club. She also enjoyed family gatherings with all four generations of her large extended family. Kindness and generosity were the hallmarks of her character. On April 18 of this year she was joined by her children, niece and nephews, their spouses and friends in celebration of her 100th birthday at her Florida home. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Kellogg of Port Orange, Florida and family friend Lou Sodergren; her sons and daughters-in-law, William (Sandy) Kellogg of Chokoloskee, Florida, David (Gail) Kellogg of Bay Head, NJ, Robert (Sylvia) Kellogg of Rancho Mirage, California, Edward (Kathie) Kellogg of San Marino, California, Richard (Joyce) Kellogg of Syracuse, NY, and Thomas (Kathy) Kellogg of Madison, Ga.; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Also surviving are a step-daughter Lou Ann Young of Greene,NY, a niece, Jean Raymond of Middlebury, Vt., and nephews Steve Raymond of Lafayette, Ca., and Pete Raymond of Greene,NY. Graveside services will be held at Sylvan Lawn Cemetery 11:00am Friday July 28, 2017.
