Louie Hofmann Obituary

Louie W. Hofmann,84,of Smithville, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Valley View Nursing Home. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Ida Rose Coleman and George Carl Hofmann. Louie is survived by his brothers and sister-in-law, George Robert Hofmann, Philip and Sharon Hofmann Sr.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beth and John Short, Joan and Fred Wintehall; nieces, Cherie Short, Nanette and Philip Myers, Kelcie Hofmann and Heidi Hofmann; nephews, Philip and Virgina Hofmann Jr., Jonathan and Georgina Hofmann, Joshua Hofmann and Conner Myers and close friend, Bill Skyler and family. Louie was a member of the Genegantslet Fire Department and was a carpenter and dairy farmer for many years. He also worked as a truck driver for North American Van Lines and was a corporal in the United States Marine Corps. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 8th from 10:00 to 12:00am at Root Funeral Home, 23 N.
