Lois C. Swartwood, 83, of Greene, went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2017 at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Theresa Williams. Lois is survived by her loving husband, Harry F. Swartwood; sons and daughters-in-law, Harry W. and Peggy Swartwood; Randal P. and JoAnn Swartwood; grandchildren, Janice and Phil Tancora, Lisa Swartwood, Jerrod Paul and Will Swartwood; great-grandchildren, Philip III and Roman Tancora. Lois liked to garden and enjoyed her Bible study time with the girls. She especially enjoyed bird watching. A funeral mass will be offered 10:00 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church, Greene. Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery. Friends of the family may call Thursday 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Root Funeral Home, 23 North Chenango Street Greene, New York 13778.
