Lavona A. Canova

Lavona A. Canova, 70 of Greene. 
God shined upon Lavona on January 28, 2018 and brought her home. She was predeceased by parents, Russell and Gladys Cooper. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bruce Canova Sr.; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Martin Delaney of Missouri;  son, Bruce Canova Jr. and his partner, Vicki Benjamin of Whitney Point; 2 grandchildren, Grayson and Neah Delaney; brother, Russell James Cooper; sister, Constance Cooper and her partner, Richard Bryson, all of PA; in-laws, nieces, nephews and her beloved dogs, Remy and Hannah.  In her fifties Lavona completed the EMT course and was a dispatcher for Superior Ambulance North. She was also employed at Ames Department Store and Lothar’s Auto Haus.  A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Greene. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
