George "Abe" Lowe

George “Abe” H. Lowe Jr., 73, of Smithville, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018. He was born son of the late George H. and Mildred Lowe Sr.. He was also predeceased by his brother, Mark S. Lowe. He is survived by his wife, Karen (Wilbur) Lowe; daughter, Titia (Lowe) Finch Baker and her husband, Dan Baker; son, George H. Lowe III; brother and sister-in-law, David P. and Cindy Lowe; grandchildren, Joshua and Melinda Wilson, Vaughn L. Baker; brother-in-law Clair Wilbur; sister-in-law, Myrna Glauer; several nieces and nephews. George was a crane and heavy equipment operator at NYSEG and retired after 35 years of service. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Root Funeral Home, 23 North Chenango Street, Greene, New York 13778. Funeral and burial services will be private.
