Eric "Pokey" H. Jones

Eric H. “Pokey” Jones, 65, of Greene, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his father, Robert, mother, Katherine Purdy and by brother, Gary. Pokey is survived by his wife, Suzanne; sons, Jesse(Julie); Jimmy; grandson, Caleb; brothers, Brian(Yvette), TX; Richard Purdy, Oxford; in-laws, Nancy(Art) Ziegler, Sharon Lowe, Don(Shirley) Harrington and John(Julie) Harrington; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Pokey worked at Village of Greene for 34 years and in his retirement he worked at H&K Sales in Greene. He loved snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, NASCAR and spending time at Piseco Lake. Friends of the family may call Friday 1:00 to 3:00pm and from 5:00 to 8:00pm at Root Funeral Home, 23 North Chenango Street, Greene, New York 13778. Private burial will be at a later date.
