Duane Leroy Sherman

Duane Leroy Sherman, 89,  of Coventry, went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2018. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose Marie; grandson; Joshua Adam; parents, James and Flossie;  brother, Allen. He is survived by his brother, James Sherman;  children; Joseph Duane and Debra J. Sherman of Norwich, Dan and Melissa Sherman of Coventry, Carrie and Gretch Furman of Oxford, Maria and Mike Utter of Greene, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; cousin, Gladys Mason; several nieces and nephews and many friends including his special and loyal friend, Dick Davis. Duane served his country in the US Army. He was a loyal follower of Jesus and had a  heart for God. He was a devoted father and husband. He worked at Crowley Milk and at Greene Central School District where he made many wonderful friends before his retirement at the age of 75. His hobbies included, antiques, antique cars and antique auto shows and camping. Duane will be remembered as a kind, gentle and soft-spoken man. A celebration of life will follow in the spring at the discretion of the family.
