David G. Estabrook

David G. Estabrook, 76 of Gilbertsville, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018. He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Helen Estabrook. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Deborah Estabrook; children, Nancy Lynn Estabrook and Ron Colasurdo, of Cincinnatus, Greg and Kelly Estabrook of Clover, South Carolina, Todd and Colleen Estabrook of Portville; grandchildren, Carlie, Jackson, Alexandria and Kevin Estabrook; sister  and brother-in-law, Nancy and Gary Williamson of Coventry;  2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Ann Estabrook, of Coventry; numerous nieces and nephews. Dave was affectionately known as “Davey” and was born and raised on the family farm in Coventry. He retired from Raymond Corporation after 35 years of service and was a member of the Greene Fire Department and Emergency Squads for more than 30 years. He loved animals and taking care of his garden and canning vegetables. Dave was a competitive pistol shooter and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of The Binghamton Adirondack Club and enjoyed camping with his family. Friends of  the family may call from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, at Root Funeral Home, 23 North Chenango Street  Greene, NY 13778. The Greene Fire Department and Emergency Squad will conduct a service Sunday at 1:45 p.m at the funeral home.
