Caryl D. Nixon, 85, of Greene, passed away on June 13, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Nixon and daughter, Peggy Nixon. Caryl is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Nixon and Theresa Lane; son, Thomas Nixon and partner Vincint Majka; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Belinda Nixon; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne and Shirley and Gary Davidson and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Caryl retired from State Hospital in Binghamton after 26 years. She was also a home heath aid for several years. She enjoyed gardening, needle point and especially cooking for her family. The family would like to thnk Chenango Hospice for their caring support and help. Funeral services for Caryl will be held 11:00am Friday, June 16, 2017 at Root Funeral Home 23 N. Chenango Street, Greene, New York 13778. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 10:00am Friday to the time of the funeral service at Root Funeral Home.
